There’s a small number of art websites that I keep track of quite regularly when something exciting came up, this set of 3D art work by JR Schmidt came up on one of sites.
Schmidt’s artwork evolves around creating images through using triangles and basic shapes within 3DSMax. The art work is something that resembles the ideas I had for the animation at first but with a more hand drawn approach and effect, this would then link it back to the art form and practice.
The colours and lighting within the images are similar ones I chose towards the animation have a similar feel and effect although this is a much more drastic and contrasting appearance. It’s good to use them as reference as to how the background could appear within the animation or at looking at taking points from these images, most interesting is its use of grandeur and scale within each drawing.
