Animation Auction Inspiration

I was sent this from Sacha a little while ago now but it’s a great and inspirational little read/look into the past as well as production work that most people have most likely not seen. Although all the items where on for sale in a large animation auction, the pieces of work and items hold a great deal of character and design.
Below I chose a few specific images that I loved after looking through the auction booklet. These specific images hold a lot of simple detail that people really fell in love with through the early years of animation. These where the sorts of ideas, styles and principles I had originally looked to aim for within my final major project.

Here’s a link directly to the Auction booklet itself on issuu.com where you look through the entire thing. Hopefully it will also bring some inspiration to yourselves much as it has me, either that or I clearly do have too much of a love for these things…
