This is a post a little bit different from the usual, but it’s something that I really wanted to blog about as it was an interesting post with a lot to think about.
Amy (aka Tiger Tea) is a great illustrator from the Yorkshire area, creating lovely illustrations but experimenting with all sorts of different mediums.
Something that she had blogged earlier this year really caught my attention when she had mentioned it again within her Twitter not too long ago. It was interesting to hear a very honest side of what people really do think about how they fit in the industry and why put up with what most creatives do have to deal with once they graduate or try get into the industry.
The things that she mentions are things that I have been told or heard whilst being told why not to go into the industry or certain issues I will come across. Luckily I’ve had a lot of support and a lot of good advice from people that are in the industry but are more positive to people like me. It’s not simple as she mentions and it’s something I too will have to deal with, but it will all be worth it in the end I am sure.
It’s a good read and nice to read such an honest opinion. Here’s a link to her portfolio below!
